Reflection
In conclusion, I found a problem in the world. Children who do not have the means to get a good solid education will not have a successful life. So I came up with a solution. Books will provide them with all the education they could want. I sent out a flyer and gathered books from friends, family, even strangers who were willing to help. I donated Children's Crisis Center. It went very smoothly, and I was able to pull through deadlines in all classes after I solved my stress problem. I hope this project made a difference. Children can use books to escape hard home lives, learn morals and lessons, and have successful lives.
Process Paper-Inspired By Books
By: Brinley Hasleton Word Count: 306
My topic was on helping children have a successful life, even though they do not have the money or the means to go to school. I called my project Inspired By Books because I feel that books can help children that can’t go to school. I feel bad that we get to get a free education, when often times, kids in other parts of the world have to walk miles to even get to a bus. That is why I chose this project.
My understanding of this topic has deepened even further as I delved more into this topic. I realized how many kids were uneducated and out of school, needing an escape from their home, or orphans. I collected books to satisfy at least a small percentage of those who don’t have the opportunity to go to school.
One obstacle I faced while working on this project was due dates. It was a little difficult to get the books delivered in time while working on the website and other homework. But eventually, I made a checklist and it helped me get through everything. I ended up finishing everything just in time.
My project applies to Make a Difference in the way of service, and helping out the struggling children of Utah County. Making a Difference doesn’t have to be a global project, or even country wide. It can be a person at school that needs a friend, or a neighbor that has been through a loss. I chose this project to make a literal difference in the communities of Utah. Donating these books will make a difference in these children that need outside help. I hope my Make a Difference project made a difference to some of the children of Utah, and that they can live a healthy, successful life because I have done this.
